Construction will take place in existing rights-of-way and include a new above-ground 13.2 kV line extending from the powerhouse to the point of interconnection with Griffiss’s existing distribution network. The viewshed and dam face will remain unchanged throughout the project.

GUSC is currently working through the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s hydropower licensing process, which includes proactively consulting with stakeholders, identifying any potential environmental to address and mitigate in the environmental assessment and impact statement. One of the key components of the FERC permit application process is soliciting community feedback through multiple outreach efforts including community meetings.
